The United Arab Emirates has proved itself to be exceptional with unimaginable feat achieved, the result, a 5007 hp Devel Sixteen. Devel Sixteen an extreme radical beast in performance and power, a collection of power of 10 supercars or 5 hypercars. At the Dubai international motor show in November 2017 Devel Sixteen prototype was launched with a 12.3 L V16 engine with four turbochargers controlled by a dual- clutch automatic transmission gearbox that generated 5007hp and 3758 lb-ft of torque.
There’s no stopping to the all wheel drive with top speed of 348 mph with a Sprint of 0-60 mph in 1.8 seconds, 0- 100 mph in 2.2 mph, and an insane 0- 310 mph in less than 50 seconds. It’s not just one of the fastest car in the world but the fastest accelerating car in the world. According to Devel Sixteen founders, the prime goal was to make something extraordinary for the roads, something that an automotive enthusiast has never seen before or imagined in his/ her life ever. And that’s how it worked out. The inspiration of Devel Sixteen is from fighter jets, and that’s a bright concept that made the deal breaker. So, a huge question lies in why it hasn’t broken the world speed record.
After three years of being launched, almost even forgotten about, Devel Sixteen resurfaces again via Devel’s handle via Instagram in Pininfarina test track in Italy but this time there’s no quad turbochargers (four turbochargers). Devel was seen having aerodynamics testing at Pininfarina’s wind tunnel. Without the quad turbochargers, Devel wouldn’t reach it’s 5000 hp mark, even while making Sprint in the test track, it wasn’t loud and was not up to expectation. Truth is Devel needed to surface because 5007 hp hypercar had suspension of being real but Devel Sixteen testing proves that all is in place nevertheless below expectations.
With the rapid evolution of electric cars, Devel is in for a treat with the rising evolution. Devel has three variants Devel Sixteen with V8 engine boosting 2000 hp at $1.6 million; Devel Sixteen with V16 engine boosting 3000hp at $1.8 million and Devel Sixteen with V16 engine boosting 5000hp at $2.2 million. The $2.2 million price tag set for Devel Sixteen would compete with the British electric car Aston Martin Valkyrie at $2 million. Hope Devel is going to receive a huge success in sales, as the road for the Devel’s appearance have been been a rave that has long been awaited. It would take 8 months to take delivery of the hypercar after placing an order.
