Pininfarina, the coachbuilding and car design automotive company that has designed over 64 Ferrari’s, in remembrance of its founder, Battista Pininfarina, builds its first car from scratch, Pininfarina Battista. Pininfarina Battista is an electric sports car with collaboration Rimac, is a dream come through.
Pininfarina Battista is powered by a T-shaped Rimac 120kWh battery pack linked to four electric motors that individually drive each wheel, Battista reaches 0-60 mph in 1.8 seconds, 0-124 mph in 6 seconds, 0-186 mph in 12 seconds blistering 1900hp and weighing 1741 pond-feet with top speed of 218 mph mated with a two single speed automatic transmission gearbox.
The coachbuilder now carmaker first revealed the Pininfarina Battista prototype in 2019 at the Geneva Motor Show. Pininfarina seeking help from EV carmaker Rimac for the production of its first production car is surely groundbreaking. Battista Pininfarina uses the same powertrain and carbon-fibre monocoque as Rimac Nevera and the two forms have been able to minimize battery overheating.
Pininfarina Battista is the marque’s first hyper car, it’s dihedral door opens up to its cockpit in which the steering is surrounded by three screens with the middle screen, a phone like display screen for speedometer with an exceptional dashboard. The hypercar has no drift mode, just thrills of acceleration and total control of the steering wheel.
$2 million would make an addition of exotic car to the garage by 2022.
