The past week has been packed with release of new cars from British 2022 Range Rover to Greece Ultracar Chaos and Italian Ferrari Daytona SP3. Now France is out with a new supercar prototype, Quarkus P1 which was teased five days ago by Damien Alfano, the CEO and Founder of Quarkus.
France with quite a range of cars from Peugeot, Citroën, Alpine, luxury DS Automobiles to the ultimate Bugatti. Clearly, Bugatti would have a rival as the new supercar has a better weight to power ratio than Bugatti, 3.6 to 4.4 pounds per horsepower. Quarkus P1 would be the second supercar to come from France which would be great to see at the end.
Quarkus P1 is a lightweight track only supercar so it isn’t sure a great news as we would have expected to see on the road but as it stands there’s no certain that other models for road would be considered. As a lightweight supercar, Quarkus P1 weighs 500 kg or 1,102 ponds. Quarkus P1 is powered by a 1.0 L twin turbocharged hybrid engine that revs 10,000 rpm blistering 250 hp to 300 hp.
The French-built car will be exhibited from 26-30 January in Paris at the Festival Automobile International. Recall, Bugatti Bollide won the world’s most beautiful hypercar in last year’s Festival Automobile International Awards.
Nothing more has been said about the supercar, so we’d surely await more updates. Watch Quarkus P1 teased in the video.
